What to Expect on the Day of Your Concrete Pour

What to Expect on the Day of Your Concrete Pour

A simple homeowner's guide to what happens before, during, and after your concrete is poured, from formwork to curing.

The pour itself is the shortest part of any concrete project. Most of the work happens in the days before, and the days after, but the pour is what everyone remembers.

We arrive early to check formwork, reo, height and fall one final time. Trucks are booked in staggered slots so the concrete never sits waiting.

Once concrete starts flowing, the team screeds, bull floats, and edges continuously. Finishing happens at the exact right moment, too early and it bleeds, too late and it dries flat.

By evening the slab is covered, and for the next seven days it's protected from foot traffic, weather and rushing. That patience is what turns a good pour into a great one.
